Advanced Living was incorporated with the specific intention of developing residential property for the active elderly age group.

The concept is to deliver 21st century solutions to the housing needs of all tenures for local communities providing modern living environments and technology within the context of relatively high-density housing areas to release family homes.

Thus we will provide a single point of responsibility and contact throughout the planning, development and operational cycles.

Our Partners

The business recognises the importance of recruiting the right people for the right roles. We will recruit to undertake the majority of operational functions internally rather than outsourcing and adopt the Investors in People principles to support the Company’s employment strategy.

We recognise the importance of being able to source the right support and team to deliver the objective and therefore we have arrangements for the following specialist teams to provide that support:

Savills – strategic, operational and development advice with arguably the strongest specialist team in the sector

Grant Thornton – financial, tax and accounting advice with an experienced team retained by institutional clients in the retirement development sector

Marchese Partners – Architects with significant experience of delivering design solutions to the senior living market especially in Australia and New Zealand

Our Team

  • Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and spent six years with a top City firm working with clients including British Land and American Express Bank. He then joined one of the UK’s largest regional law firms, becoming an equity partner in 1995.

    Richard joined Landmark Plc as Managing Director in 2000. Landmark Plc grew from startup to an annual turnover of £25m employing over 150 staff. It developed a reputation for being the top provider in the sector and the Company won Business Centre of the Year Awards in 2013 and 2016.

    In 2017 Landmark Plc was sold and Richard joined up with Ian to start Advanced Living.

  • Ian qualified as a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1989 and has his whole career in the property and construction sector.

    Ian worked for one of London’s leading residential property developers, Berkeley Group, for over 20 years. He was regional Managing Director of St George West London Ltd for 15 years, delivering a variety of high density mixed use, town centre developments:

    • Charter Quay Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames compromising 244 new homes, 50,000 sq ft A1 / A3 space and the first new theatre of the 21st Century in the UK;
    • Dickens Yard London Borough of Ealing compromising 698 new homes, 108,000 sq ft retail and restaurant space including spa, gym, and concierge facilities; and
    • Kew Bridge London Borough of Hounslow compromising 308 apartments, 40,000 sq ft of A1, A3 and B1 space, including a new Fullers riverside pub and concierge facilities.

    Ian is the Chairman of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, an award winning innovative Charitable Trust employing 100 full time and part time staff and volunteers together to engage in a wide programme of education mentoring a wide range of inclusive sporting program including a significant disabilities program in delivering sport to 100 West London Schools.

  • After achieving a first-class honours degree in electronic engineering at the University of Surrey in 1989, Ravi qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. Throughout his career, Ravi’s passion has been to grow and improve business performance in the SME market. His FD roles have included Eat at the Works, Simply Luxurious Travel as well as Oracle Care and Education. In this last role, Ravi led an MBO, obtaining private equity investment to provide restructuring capital for further growth. Oracle Care’s subsequent success saw growth from a single site in 2006 to a thriving operation of 10 children’s care homes and two schools by 2011.

    Ravi’s specialist financial and highly commercial experience has grown steadily throughout his career. His experience extends to fundraising, operational management, business performance and optimisation as well as stakeholder management of private equity and banking investors.

    Ravi joined the Advanced Living executive team as finance director in May 2018.

  • Mike has extensive experience in project managing both residential refurbishment projects and commercial office fit-outs. He joined Richard to work with Landmark Plc from 2001 and his attention to detail is a key component in delivering high quality finished products.

  • Jennifer started her property career in 2005 and developed a wealth of experience in multiple property sectors, ranging from student accommodation, serviced offices, gyms, residential and commercial property.

    Jennifer joined Hamptons International in 2010, a leading residential property company in the UK, delivering property management in and around Chelsea and Knightsbridge.

    She went on to join St George Developments, part of the Berkeley Group overseeing six schemes, circa 8,000 units. As the Estates Manager, Jennifer contributed towards improving processes in Estate Management from lessons learnt from legacy issues to mobilising new builds.
