Advanced Living was incorporated with the specific intention of developing residential property for the active elderly age group.
The concept is to deliver 21st century solutions to the housing needs of all tenures for local communities providing modern living environments and technology within the context of relatively high-density housing areas to release family homes.

We deliver a holistic approach to the lifetime of a development and will actively manage it post occupation. We understand the changing needs of this growing sector and have a modern approach to it. We understand, for example, the need for connectivity and the ability to source and implement relevant applications in the home.
Thus we will provide a single point of responsibility and contact throughout the planning, development and operational cycles.
Coombe Road, Kingston
Advanced Living Limited acquired this 1.4 acre development site in Kingston, Surrey in March 2019. A detailed planning application was submitted in October 2019 to build and operate a high-quality development of 128 independent living and extra care homes with a restaurant and wellbeing centre. The gross internal area of the project is 174,000 sq ft plus a large basement car park and the net internal area of the residential accommodation is 111,000 sq ft. Receipt of planning consent is scheduled for Q4 2020. Thereafter, the development is planned to commence with site clearance during 2021 and to take two years to complete. Sales of developed homes will be undertaken off-plan throughout and after the development phase, with sales targeted to be completed by end 2024.
Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1989 and spent twelve years in private practice, initially with a top City firm and then with one of the UK’s largest regional law firms where he became an equity partner in 1995. He specialised in property and banking transactions including healthcare sector development finance.
Richard jointly founded Landmark Plc, the serviced office provider in 2000 with one of his clients. Landmark Plc grew from startup to an annual turnover of £25m employing over 150 staff. It developed a reputation for being the top provider in the sector and the Company won Business Centre of the Year Awards in 2013 and 2016.
In 2017 Landmark Plc was sold and Richard joined up with Ian to start Advanced Living.

Ian qualified as a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1989 and has spent his whole career in the property and construction sector.
Ian worked for one of London’s leading residential property developers, Berkeley Group, for over 20 years. He was regional Managing Director of St George West London Ltd for 15 years, delivering a variety of high density mixed use, town centre developments.
Ian is the Chairman of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, an award winning innovative Charitable Trust.

Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975. He has over 35 years of senior level experience in a variety of highly challenging roles in key areas of finance, business operations and general management. He has been an executive director of many public companies since 1986.
Prior to joining Advanced Living, Andrew was Chief Financial Officer at Landmark Plc. His previous positions include Corporate Finance Director, MWB Business Exchange Plc, Chairman, Manroy Plc and Group Finance Director, MWB Group Holdings Plc.
Since 2013, Andrew has also been Chairman of Longacre School, a highly successful independent school in Surrey,

Mike has extensive experience in project managing both residential refurbishment projects and commercial office fit-outs. He joined Richard to work with Landmark Plc from 2001 and his attention to detail is a key component in delivering high quality finished products.

Jennifer started her career as a nursing assistant in a specialist care home, before moving in 2005 into the property sector.
Jennifer was a property manager with Hamptons International, a leading residential property company in the UK and then went on to join St George Developments, part of the Berkeley Group overseeing six schemes, circa 8,000 homes. As the Estates Manager, Jennifer contributed towards improving processes in Estate Management in lessons learnt from legacy issues to mobilising new builds.
